Friends of Carbrooke School
As soon as your child joins Carbrooke School you automatically become a member of the Friends. There are no subscriptions.
Carbrooke P.T.A. was formed in 1981 and became a registered charity under the name of The Friends of Carbrooke School in May 2005. The association has raised funds to provide various resources for the school including computers with accessories, books and an adventure play area.
The Committee elected annually in March is responsible for organizing fund raising events and social activities, and Christmas parties for the children.
The main purpose of the Friends is to provide support for the school and to act as a forum for parents and staff to exchange views and learn more about day-to-day events that affect our children at the school.
The Committee's job is to plan and co-ordinate the fundraising and social activities and either to raise on behalf of members or arrange meetings at which important issues can be debated.
The Friends is seen not merely as a fund raising organisation but as an essential forum for expression of parents' support and concerns. The school values the active members of the Friends. Meetings are open to all parents and you are most welcome to attend.
We hope that all parents will take part in the activities of the Friends
Please support the curriculum information evenings, social and fund raising events of the school and Friends
