It sorts out our problems, thoughts and changes.
What changes does it make?
We have made changes like:
A picture competition
Clubs
More resources for the school
Fundraisers
And more changes to make assembly better

Football
We meet in the changing rooms every Thursday at about 3:15 pm. Mr Abbs teaches us how to play football for boys and girls. We learn headers, goalkeeping, defending and attacking for 1 hour being charged just a voluntary £3 per week. If the weather is dry, we play football outside with studs ( No metal blades as there could be huge injuries.) and shinpads, but if the weather is wet or snowy, we are inside the school hall with trainers and shinpads (optional) playing football.
We play 6 tournaments a year at Thompson, Ashill, Caston, Hockham, Saham and Carbrooke. We have won 2 out 2 tournaments. If you win a tournament, the football team get a medal each and a trophy for the school.
If you want to get into the team you have to do training, which is free, on a Wednesday lunchtime if it is dry. We play at different schools fields.

Netball
Hi our names are Amy and Josephine and we are in the Carbrooke netball team. We are going to tell you about what we do and the tournaments we have played this year!!
We practice after school on Thursdays and the team on Thursday lunchtime for free. Our wonderful coach is Mrs. Robertson. There are around 20 of us all wanting to learn netball from year 3 to year 6. We all love having Mrs. Robertson as a teacher as she lets us play mini matches at practice and lets us participate in tournaments (only year 5 and 6)!
We practice:
- Throwing and catching
- Pivoting
- Playing matches
- Shooting (and hopefully scoring)
- Working as a team
- And (obviously) having Fun!!!
Now we will tell you a bit about the tournaments!! Firstly the Thompson tournament which both of us were playing in! All Hockham, Thompson, Ashill, Saham and Us Carbrooke met at Thompson school in October for the first tournament most of us had ever played full to the brim with nerves. On that day the all new netball team won two matches and lost to matches. So at the end of the day we came a considerable 4th out of five teams.

Now for the Carbrooke tournament!!
We arrived back at school at 9o’clock on Saturday morning for a hard day of Netball ahead of us. All the teams were there again and playing their best. In the end we came 5th out of 5 teams but we were still up for a fight!!!
Gymnastics
Gym club starts at quarter to five and ends at quarter to six on a Monday evening. Gym club costs £2.50 a week. Mrs Jane Chapman runs gym club.
At first we put all the mats together. Then we choose two people to do warm-ups i.e. splits, lunges and flat table tops etc. Then some times we do routines straight after warm-ups. We can work on our own or with a partner. We do forward rolls all the way to hand springs, forward walk over’s and backward walk over’s.
Mr Jane Chapman has got a lot of patience and if your flexibility is not that good she will start at your level and work your way up. She will give you a target if she thinks you are ready for it. We work towards badges as well. Once a year we do a gala which is a gym display and competition against other schools to win a trophy. We go as one school to Wayland Community High School. We also perform at the Village Fete every year.

We tidy and order the books in colour and number order.
We come in the library twice a week.
Charlotte and Sophie and Molly are the librarians.

We enjoy being the librarians because we like books and reading.
